Local, National, and World Wide Missions Supported by Christ Church

ABC Life Center serves over fifty families on a weekly basis. Parents participate in Earn-While-You-Learn Program to receive training regarding their pregnancy while earning credits to purchase supplies and clothing for the baby. Other services offered are post abortion recovery, emergency helps, abstinence education, adoption referral, and pregnancy testing.

Child Evangelism Fellowship sponsors after-school Good News Clubs and Good News Camps to minister outside the church and into the community.

Ed Black- Missionary to Croatia uses the medium of radio with the intent to saturate Croatia with the Word of God. He sponsors Bible Conferences for local pastors and assists in translating Bibles into Croatian language.

Laurie Potter/Honduras serves on Roatan Island off the north coast of Honduras as a youth group sponsor and Sunday School teacher and is involved in local church leadership training and discipleship.

Mustard Seed Missions is a unique cooperative effort between local churches throughout Venango County and Department of Human Services. We are a mixture of both service and evangelism. We show those in need that God loves them.

Wesbury United Methodist Community is a mission-driven organization located in Meadville, PA, committed to providing compassionate care and services to area seniors. Wesbury offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, and adult day care services for over 500 seniors daily.

Youth for Christ reaches young people everywhere working together with local churches to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus Christ who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer and the Word of God, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

Jeremy and Jodie Toews with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Kalimantan, Indonesia serving remote communities on the island of Borneo. Using aircraft they support nationwide pastors and missionaries, deliver vital supplies to remote villages and provide life-saving medical evacuation flights.

Children Alive Ministries mission is to establish and encourage children’s ministry in poor and un-evangelized communities through after school programs and training children church ministers.

In addition to the above, Christ United Methodist Church supports season mission projects such as the “Mitten Tree”, and “Operation Christmas Child”. Also supported are Sugar Valley Lodge and the Central Help Fund.

Mission Teams and Trips

ASP (APPALACHIAN SERVICE PROJECTS)
Schedule: Yearly
Join the ASP (Appalachian Service Project) Mission Trip Assists with housing improvements through team efforts in carpentry, electrical, painting, and other miscellaneous home improvements as needed.
Goal: build a relationship with home owners in an endeavor to introduce them to Jesus Christ.

Anyone can be part of this mission team. You may sign up on the Because U Count sheet in the bulletin or contact Jonathan Smith (c: 814-673-9491) at Youth@christchurchfranklin.com.

Wesley Woods is a mission team to help with renovations to Wesley Woods UMC Camp. Projects include painting, yard work, housekeeping and general carpentry.
Schedule: Yearly

How to Donate

  1.  Make your check payable to Christ United Methodist Church.
  2.  On the memo line, write the name of the specific Mission you would like to help support or just write Missions
    if it is to be a general donation.
  3.  You may also include the donation in your Sunday giving. Be sure to write the amount on the memo line
    regarding the amount you would like to go to Missions. Please state the Mission if you would like it to be a specific
    mission.
